So what’s a gal to do when she has a hoard of people coming over for Christmas festivities, but a non-existent decorating budget??
Gather up any and every book she can and stack them, of course! The whole process took about 45 minutes (mostly from running from room to room digging out books), some patience, some killer balancing skills, one stand of lights, and just for grins, a Santa flamingo on top that happens to play the “Macarena” when you push its wing. (I may be just a tad excited its now out of reach from my munchkins. All right!) Tadaaa! Mom-on-a- budget problem solved!
I think this would be perfect for a classroom or school library, don’t you? Or making one out of board games would be super cute in a game room. DVDs in a movie room?
