I dedicate this post to all the parents, sitters, caretakers and general kid feeders! I try to do a good job with lunches but sometimes I just don’t have the energy to go to the store. Sometimes that lasts for days. Teachers know when I’m tired. Those are the days my kids show up with a an old plastic bag filled with crackers and a piece of turkey bacon and a half a cereal bar and a frozen popsicle in lieu of a freezer pack. But I am gonna let you in on a little secret that I discovered this year. I want you to be able to send better lunches for your kids, too. Did you know you can stop at the convenience store on the WAY to school? I discovered that the one by my house has a drive-through window. I can roar up, demand a turkey Lunchable and some chemically enhanced apple slices with caramel dipping sauce and never even leave the comfort of my butt warmer car seat! SCORE! For you overachiever moms, or those who like to pretend they are (like ME!), check out my Pinterest board, Lunchbox Munchbox! I don’t go overboard with Bento artistry, but I do have a few jokes you can slip into a sack!
