World MS Day & Maya

Writer: Melanie NicholasMelanie Nicholas

It is fitting for me that on World MS Day, I learned that Maya Angelou died. She has given hope and encouragement to so many.

I think her poem “And Still I Rise” captures the spirit of the thousands and thousands of us suffering with multiple sclerosis. It won’t get us. We will keep fighting to stay on our feet, stay in our offices, stay in the game.

And still we rise.

Thank you Maya. Thank you everyone for supporting us in our search for a cure. To see her beautiful reading of
